Terms of service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and TickerBox LLC (“TickerBox”, “we” or “us”). They apply when you use the ticker.box website or buy, set up or use a Ticker Box. By placing an order, or by using a Ticker Box, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't order or use a Ticker Box.
Please read the “Disputes” section carefully. It says that most disputes will be settled by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, and that you give up the right to bring or join a class action. You can opt out within 30 days.
Pre-orders
- Each Ticker Box is built by hand when you order it, and ships in 4–6 weeks.
- Your card is charged when you order.
- If we can't ship within 6 weeks, we'll email you a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund.
- You can cancel for a full refund at any time before your Ticker Box ships. Email support@ticker.box with the email address you ordered with.
Prices and shipping
Prices are in US dollars, and shipping is added at checkout. We ship to addresses in the United States only. Every Ticker Box ships insured. If yours is lost in transit or arrives damaged, email us and we'll sort it out with you. Ownership of your Ticker Box, and the risk of loss, pass to you when it is delivered.
Returns
You can return your Ticker Box for a refund. We must receive it back within 14 days of delivery, complete and in the condition you received it. Email support@ticker.box to start a return. We may refuse, or reduce the refund for, a return that has been opened up, modified or damaged.
What a Ticker Box is for
A Ticker Box is a general-use household product: an information display for adults, for personal use indoors, such as on a desk or shelf. It is not a toy, and it is not designed or intended for children 12 and under. It is not designed or tested for any other use. In particular, don't use it, or rely on it:
- outdoors, in a vehicle, or anywhere wet, damp, dusty or very hot or cold;
- for anything where a fault, a wrong reading or the screen going dark could cause injury, death, financial loss or damage to property, including medical, safety, alarm, navigation and trading purposes;
- as a toy, or anywhere a young child can reach it unsupervised.
Before you use your Ticker Box, read our safety information and follow it. It forms part of these terms.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use your Ticker Box sensibly, as described in these terms and our safety information. Don't:
- open its case, except to replace the microSD card as described in the owner's manual, or repair, alter or modify its hardware;
- power it with anything other than the adapter and cable supplied, or a replacement of the same rating;
- use it with a damaged case, screen, cable or adapter;
- use it for anything unlawful, or to display content you don't have the right to display.
If you do any of these, or install software, screens or other content that we didn't provide, you do so at your own risk, and we aren't responsible for any loss, damage or injury that results from it, including damage to the Ticker Box, to other property, or to anyone's health. Replacing the microSD card as the owner's manual describes is allowed, but it is also at your own risk.
Software and updates
Software updates are free for as long as you own your Ticker Box. Nothing installs by itself; updates only install when you choose to. Updates may add, change or remove features. The software includes open-source components, each under its own license, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
You can add screens and photos of your own. You are responsible for them, including that you have the right to use them, and we aren't responsible for what they show or for any problem they cause.
Information on the screen
Prices, scores, news, weather and other information come directly from independent public services that we don't control. That information can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and a service can change or stop at any time, which may stop a screen from working. Nothing shown on a Ticker Box is financial, investment or any other kind of advice. Don't rely on it to make trading decisions or any other decision where being wrong could cost you.
Support
Email support at support@ticker.box is free for as long as you own your Ticker Box. Support is help and advice; it isn't a warranty or a promise to repair or replace your Ticker Box.
Safety notices and recalls
If we learn of a safety issue with a Ticker Box, we'll email you at the address you ordered with and post a notice on our safety page. Please follow the instructions in any safety notice, keep the email address you gave us up to date, and tell us straight away about any safety problem with your Ticker Box, as our safety information describes. A safety notice or recall may offer a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy, whether or not the 14-day return period has ended.
No warranty
Your 14-day right to return your Ticker Box for a refund is your remedy if you're not happy with it. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, your Ticker Box and its software are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults. We give no warranty of any kind, and we disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that your Ticker Box or its software will work without interruption or errors, that it will work with your network or any service, or that any service it uses will keep working.
Some states don't allow implied warranties to be disclaimed. If that applies to you, any implied warranty lasts only as long as the law requires and no longer. This section is about how well a Ticker Box works; it doesn't change the responsibility for death, injury or property damage described in the next section.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, use or goodwill, arising from or connected with a Ticker Box, its software, the information it shows, or this website, even if we were told such damages were possible;
- we aren't liable for any loss, damage or injury caused by misuse; by not following these terms or our safety information; by opening, repairing or modifying a Ticker Box; by power supplies, software, screens or content we didn't provide; by third-party services; or by events beyond our reasonable control; and
- our total liability for all claims about a Ticker Box, under any legal theory, is limited to the amount you paid for it.
These limits don't apply to liability for death or bodily injury, or for damage to property other than the Ticker Box itself, to the extent it is caused by a defect in a Ticker Box as we supplied it or by our negligence; to liability for our fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct; or to any other liability that the law doesn't allow to be excluded or limited.
Otherwise, these limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some states don't allow some of these exclusions or limits, so some may not apply to you.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify TickerBox, its members, employees and agents against any claim, loss, damage or cost (including reasonable legal fees) brought by anyone else that arises from your misuse of a Ticker Box, your modification of it, the screens or content you add to it, or your breach of these terms. This doesn't apply to the extent a claim is caused by a defect in a Ticker Box as we supplied it, or by our own negligence or misconduct.
Disputes
Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email support@ticker.box and describe it. Most issues are resolved this way. If we can't resolve a dispute within 60 days, either of us may start arbitration.
Arbitration. Any dispute between you and TickerBox arising from or relating to these terms, a Ticker Box, its software or this website will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. Fees are paid as those rules provide; if you start an arbitration and the fee you have to pay is more than it would cost you to file the claim in court, we'll pay the difference. Any in-person hearing will take place in the county where you live, unless we both agree otherwise. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
No class actions. You and TickerBox may each bring claims against the other only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action. If a court decides this sentence can't be enforced for a claim, that claim must be heard in court, not in arbitration. You and TickerBox each waive the right to a jury trial.
Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration and the class action waiver by emailing support@ticker.box within 30 days of your order, with your name, the email address you ordered with, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration.
Law and courts. These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which TickerBox LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration section. Any claim that isn't arbitrated or brought in small claims court will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you and TickerBox agree to their jurisdiction.
Time limit. Except for claims for death, bodily injury or damage to property, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, unless the law requires a longer period.

Privacy
How we handle your information is covered by our privacy policy.
Events beyond our control
We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as supplier or carrier delays, shortages, natural disasters, power or internet outages, or government action. If one delays your order, the pre-order terms above still let you cancel for a full refund.
General
These terms, our safety information and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and TickerBox about a Ticker Box and this website. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these terms, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a business that takes over ticker.box. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that can't be limited or waived by agreement.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Your order is covered by the terms in place when you placed it.
